God of the Broken Vessels

He is the God of the woman at the well. He is the God of the scorned and the rejected one. She worshipped on a mountain. He was and is the One to be worshipped. He knew everything that she ever did. Still, He was willing to forgive. He turned her broken life around and made her a testimony of grace. She was a broken and sinful woman but He made her the first witness in her town. He didn’t throw away the broken pieces of her past. He used them as her life story – from brokenness to breakthrough. From regret to revival.

He is the God of Jacob. He wasn’t surprised by Jacob’s lies and corruption. He knew Jacob. He knew the coward. But during one night the runaway became the conqueror. The deceiver became the truth defender. After his encounter with the Prince of Peace, he became a prince himself. The pieces of Jacob’s shattered relationships were lying all around his lies. He deceived and betrayed everybody. But then he dug a well that spent water for many generations.

The living water is not flowing out of the broken vessels. The living water is flowing through the broken vessels. Still, they will never be empty. God is the well of living water in their hearts that keeps on flowing. His Spirit is like a river of living water. He is the healing ointment that heals their brokenness and their wounds. Their brokenness is the beginning of their breakthrough. He plants beauty in the bruised reed. He is not breaking their brokenness. He is the God of the broken vessels.
